First Visit

The first visit will include a visual examination of the oral tissues and teeth, an oral cancer screening, necessary x-rays for proper diagnosis, followed by a consultation of your dental needs.  Following this time with Dr. Giberson, you will receive a dental cleaning by one of our hygenists.  Treatment costs will be discussed and financial arrangements can be made.

We want you to know that we adhere to the highest standards of infection control which includes the sterilization of our hand pieces.

Patient Registration and Medical History Forms can be downloaded from this Web site.  Please print them and bring them with you on your first visit.

Please also bring the following:

• Your previous dental records and any X-rays, if applicable.
• A list of medications you are presently taking.
• If you have medical or dental insurance, bring the necessary completed forms. This will save time and allow us to help you process any claims.

IMPORTANT: A parent or guardian must accompany all patients under 18 at the consultation visit.

Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to surgery (i.e. diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if you are on any medication (i.e. heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.) or require taking medication prior to dental cleanings (i.e antibiotics, for pre-med.)
